Soya Sauce Glazed Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • Mushrooms: 500g, cleaned and sliced
  • winn Dark Soy Sauce: 3-4 tablespoons
  • Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger: 1-inch piece, minced
  • Vegetable Oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Green Onions: 2, thinly sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame Seeds: 1 tablespoon, toasted (for garnish)
  • Salt: to taste
  • Black Pepper: to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Mushrooms:

  1. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth or mushroom brush to remove any dirt.
  2. Slice the mushrooms into even pieces.

 

Sauté the Aromatics:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and ginger and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

 

Cook the Mushrooms:

  1. Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan, spreading them out into a single layer.
  2. Let the mushrooms cook undisturbed for a couple of minutes until they start to release their moisture.
  3. Stir the mushrooms and continue cooking until they are tender and golden brown.

Glaze with Soya Sauce:

  1. Pour the winn dark soya sauce over the cooked mushrooms in the pan.
  2. Toss the mushrooms to coat them evenly with the winn dark soya sauce.
  3. Allow the soya sauce to reduce and form a glaze, about 2-3 minutes. The mushrooms should be well coated and glossy.

 

Season and Garnish:

  1. Season the glazed mushrooms with salt and black pepper to taste.
  2. Garnish with thinly sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds for added flavor and texture.

 

Serve:

  1. Transfer the soya sauce glazed mushrooms to a serving dish.
  2. Serve hot as a side dish or as a topping for rice, noodles or salads.
